JEIL HIGHB 6 INJ

JEIL HIGHB 6 INJ (제일하이비6 주) is a sterile injectable solution of pyridoxine hydrochloride (vitamin B6) manufactured by Jeil Pharmaceutical. It's primarily used when oral intake isn't adequate or absorption is compromised.

Composition

• Active Ingredient: Pyridoxine hydrochloride 50 mg/mL
• Form: Colorless to pale yellow solution in brown glass ampoules
• Packaging: 1 mL per ampoule, usually 50 ampoules per box

Indications & Benefits

• Prevention and treatment of vitamin B6 deficiency—including deficiencies due to medications like isoniazid, hydralazine, pyrazinamide, and penicillamine
• Situations with increased B6 needs such as catabolic illnesses, pregnancy, lactation, and estrogen/oral contraceptive use
• B6-dependent metabolic disorders, like responsive anemia
• Supportive role in cheilitis, stomatitis, dermatitis, peripheral neuropathy, and hangover symptoms

Contraindications

• Hypersensitivity to pyridoxine; concurrent use with levodopa—B6 may decrease levodopa efficacy
