TATHID INJ

TATHID INJ is an injectable solution containing thioctic acid (α-lipoic acid), a potent antioxidant used to support nerve health and metabolic function. It is manufactured by Bukwang Pharmaceutical and commonly used in neurological and metabolic therapies.

Indications

TATHID Injection is used for:

• Supplementation of thioctic acid during physical stress or metabolic dysfunction
• Treatment of Leigh's disease (subacute necrotizing encephalomyelopathy)
• Ototoxic hearing loss caused by aminoglycoside antibiotics (e.g., streptomycin, gentamicin)
• Noise-induced hearing impairment

Administration

• Route: Intravenous injection
• Dose (Adults): 10–25 mg once daily
• Adjustable based on age and condition severity

Duration

• Typically used for up to 1 month
• Discontinue if no clinical improvement is observed within this period
