ESTHION INJ

ESTHION INJ (에스치온 주) is a sterile injectable formulation of reduced glutathione (600 mg per vial), used primarily to prevent chemotherapy‑induced neuropathy (e.g., from cisplatin) and applied off-label for antioxidant therapy, detoxification, and cosmetic skin lightening. 

Composition

• Active Ingredient: Reduced glutathione 600 mg per vial
• Formulation: Lyophilized powder for reconstitution; supplied in brown glass vials—10 vials per box

Indications & Benefits

• Primary Indication: Prevention of neuropathic effects in patients receiving cisplatin or similar chemotherapeutic agents
• Additional Uses (off‑label):
  • Potent antioxidant — helps neutralize free radicals and supports liver detoxification 
  • Cosmetic benefit — inhibits tyrosinase activity, reducing melanin synthesis for skin lightening and anti‑pigmentation effects 

Typical IV preparation

• Reconstitute 600 mg in ~5 mL water for injection, dilute in 100 mL saline or 5% dextrose, administer IV over ~30 minutes. For IM use, inject slowly into large muscle.
